Swami Ranganathananda Ji’s Teachings part 2

Swami Ranganathananda Ji was an ideal Spiritual Master. His every action, reaction, attitude were ideal. No Doubt His Life was his message. Swami Stavapriyananda Ji shared another illumined past time of Most Revered Maharaj. Swami Stavapriyananda Ji was once posted at Belgharia Students ‘ Home. Within some days, he found that he was falling asleep in the time of Japa Dhyana ( Chanting — Meditation ). So being eager to fix this problem, he went to Belur Math to meet Swami Ranganathananda Ji. He stated the problem and asked for solution.

Rev. Maharaj replied, “ Well I read books till 1am and then go to bed, but I never felt sleepy in the time of Japa in the early morning. ”

Swami Stavapriyananda Ji replied, “ Maharaj, you are the president of our order and I am a mere Brahmachari ( he was a novice then ). Can there be any comparison between you and me? ”

Rev Maharaj said , “ Well I am a Sadhu and you are also a Sadhu. Why should there be any difference between you and me? ”

Swami Stavapriyananda Ji was not expecting such reply.

He ( Rev. Maharaj ) added, “ If you feel that you are not progressing in Spiritual Life by Japa, just feel , Guru Maharaj ( Sri Ramakrishna ) will be happy if you chant intensely, you will not sleep anymore. ”
“ While doing selfless service, if you feel you are not progressing, just feel Guru Maharaj will be happy to see you working selflessly.”
“ The followers of Christ say, ‘ Anything for Christ .’ Why can’t we say, anything for Thakur? ”

Saying this he uttered a shloka ( Sanskrit verse )
Om Priyatam Pundarikaksham Sarvayajneshwaro Hari
Tasmin tuste jagat tushtam
Pranite pranito Jagat.

O Hari, the God of all sacramental activities, if you are pleasured, the whole world becomes pleasured and if you are not pleasured, the world is dissatisfied.

So if we want to live a Spiritual Life, we must change the Worldly Angle of viewing our lives.
Our whole day , whole life , Every Activities, Every thoughts should be an offering to God.
