Our Bondage

We discussed about the Material World in the previous article (https://divinifyme.code.blog/2023/02/04/arya-satyas-of-hindu/). Vedanta teaches us that, we are ever free, eternal, ever pure. But in our regular life, what do we experience? Just the opposite right? What’s the reason? Vedanta answers, “You have forgot your real self.” Suppose a king has forgot his identity. Then what will he do? He will behave like an ordinary man and will assume something different. Similarly, though we are Ever Free, Eternal, Ever Pure, we feel just the opposite. We are consciousness, the ocean of knowledge but we want to acquire knowledge. We are free , but we feel that we are in bondage. Now the bondage, though illusion, is really difficult to overcome. With every persons, things of our lives, we are entangled with. Isn’t it? And More Furious thing is, WE LOVE BONDAGE. The person who has left us in any way, we go rushing to him/her to be bounded again ! The demise of even the senior most person in our family hurts us, cracks us from inside. We Actually Want To be Captivated in the Material World. No Doubt, that’s the cause of our ENDLESS SUFFERING. The equation of our Material Existence is
Ignorance — Desire — Work. Due to ignorance we, become unaware of our eternity and try eagerly to survive as either

Brahma ( The Existence Consciousness Bliss )

or Brahmaa ( The Creator ).

When we become self realised, we live as Brahma, and when we multiply our body, we live as Brahmaa. When we live as a creator, we desire to live through mortal objects living or non living. And for that we are to do different material works. The person who becomes Enlightened, gets rid of the cycle of Ignorance — Desire—Work. Though, I told that we love bondage, Swami Vivekananda has clearly mentioned that the bondages actually Help us to REALISE OURSELVES. When we want to be happy in the Material World, we are continuously hammered with Sorrow, Grief etc . The time we realise that material pleasure is nothing but to “lick a drop of honey on the razor’s edge”( Srila Prabhupada ), we stop this nonsense effort and turn inward.
